My story

[p]Hi, thanks for visiting my page.[/p][p]I am raising money St Kentigern Hospice. [/p][p]My amazing mother in law Pauline spent her last days there nearly 10 years ago. Pauline was an amazing wife, mum, Gran and friend. [/p][p]In January 2017 I got off the weighing scales knowing I was heading towards 20 stone. With the help of Carlos and Fit by First and the amazing Conwy Park Run I managed to do more exercise in 2017 than the previous 10 years combined![/p][p]I am now taking that to a HNL (hole nother level!) by running the London Marathon (26.2 miles) on April 22nd. My goal is to:[/p][p] 1. Not get injured prior to the run.[/p][p]2. Finish the run![/p][p]Having stood on the weighing scales again at the start of 2018 to discover I was on the way to 17 stone it was clear that my weight and fitness is moving in the right direction. But 26.2 is a long way for a big boned man like myself to run!![/p][p]So, please sponsor me. I would normally say that any amount will do. 50p will make a difference. But, lets be honest; I'm running a long way. I'm not designed to run a long way. This is going to be tough... So a few quid would be much appreciated! [/p][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, donations will be quickly processed and passed to St Kentigern Hospice. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. [/p][p] I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations. St Kentigern Hospice will get all of the money you donate and all of the gift aid![/p]
