Team story

[lt]p style="text-align: center;"[gt][b][span=color: #ff0000;]Welcome to the Business Design Centre Cycle Team's fundraising page![/span][/b][/p][p]The Business Design Centre, located in Islington has long supported local charities and great causes and this year 12 members of staff have signed up to take on their biggest challenge yet![/p][p]Angel2Angel will see the team cycle 325 miles from the Angel of the North in Gateshead to our very own Angel in Islington. The challenge over six days will see cyclists pass through the North Yorkshire Moors, down through Nottinghamshire, passing closely by Cambridge before returning within the M25 to N1's Angel.[/p][p]This challenge is being undertaken to support the essential work that Islington Giving do in the local area. [/p][p]The charity was launched in 2010 to fight poverty and create local opportunity and is taking action to improve the lives of disadvantaged people in the borough.[/p][p]Islington is a borough of stark contrasts – a place where wealth sits alongside entrenched, hidden poverty. It is the 5th most deprived borough in London and 14th most deprived in England, with the second highest level of child poverty, the shortest life expectancy of men in London and the highest level of male suicide in London. These staggering statistics tell only part of this story, particularly given the general perception of Islington as an affluent borough.[/p][p]Islington Giving encourages people to give what they can, be it money, time or talents and to date has supported over 40 fantastic local projects to alleviate local hardship.[/p][p]We hope you will support the great work they do by sponsoring us on our ride from Angel to Angel![/p][p]Many thanks,[/p][lt]p style="text-align: left;"[gt]The Business Design Centre Cycle Team:[/p][lt]p style="text-align: center;"[gt][b][span=color: #ff0000;]Dave Taylor, Emma Clarke, Georgina Forester, Graham Stephenson, Jack Morris, Jean Betts, Ben Town, Joe Mullee, Kate Simpson, Paul Burke, Ramoe Mitchell, Terry Stark [/span][/b][b][span=color: #ff0000;]and support drivers Graham Simpson and Colin Garwood.[/span][/b][/p][lt]p style="text-align: center;"[gt][b][span=color: #ff0000;][url=http://www.businessdesigncentre.co.uk]www.businessdesigncentre.co.uk[/url][/span][/b][/p][div=text-align: center;][span=color: #000000;][b][lt]span style="font-size: 11px; line-height: 12.960000038146973px;"[gt]Islington Giving Charity number[/span][/b][lt]/span[gt][/div][div=text-align: center;][span=color: #000000;][b][lt]span style="font-size: 11px; line-height: 12.960000038146973px;"[gt] [/span][/b][lt]/span[gt][span=font-size: 11px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 12.960000038146973px;]207499[/span][/div][div=text-align: center;][url=http://www.islingtongiving.org.uk]www.islingtongiving.org.uk[/url][/div][b][/b]
