My story

[p]Hi, thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I am doing a tandem sky dive at the end of April to raise money for Nelson's Journey, a children's bereavement charity.  Thank you for any donations, however small, it really is appreciated and means a lot to me personally. [/p][p]I lost my father when I was a child. Losing a parent is definitely something that affects children in different ways. Having available support in place is important for children that are bereaved. So that's why Nelson's Journey seems a natural charity for me to support and to do something that takes me out of my comfort zone at the same time. [/p][p]Nelson's Journey have helped hundreds of children to deal with the death of a significant person in their life since 1997 when the charity started.  Here's some of the things that the money raised will do:[/p][p]£6 could fund a teddy bear for a bereaved child[/p][p]£10 could fund a Nelson's Journey Hoodie, given to a bereaved young person[/p][p]£20 could fund a selection of bereavement work books for children[/p][p]£50 could fund a wide range of resources for the Child bereavement Support Workers to use during 1:1 support sessions, including memory box, art and craft materials, therapeutic work books, memory bear etc[/p][p]£248 could fund a place for a bereaved young person to attend a therapeutic weekend[/p][p][span=font-weight: bold;]All funds are quickly processed and passed to charities through Virgin Money Giving. It is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. [/span][/p][p][span=font-weight: bold;]Thank you once again!  [/span][span=font-weight: bold;]Angie [/span][/p]
