My story

[p]Our young people face all the challenges of growing up at a time when there are lots of pressures on their lives. As a youngster I hugely benefited from being part of a youth group - meeting different people, friendships, activities, some input and guidance. [/p][p]I am hugely impressed with the inclusiveness, everyone's welcome approach and the activities of youth for Christ. I know youngsters who find the work a really positive influence. YFC provide lunch-time and after school clubs, school lessons, sports, fun and information about the Christian faith.[/p][p]YFC often works through volunteers, but they also need paid professionals - they can only do what they have funds for.[/p][p]And that's why I am getting on my bike for the "Lon Las", North to South Wales, Holyhead to Cardiff. It is a four day challenging 235 mile route through Wales' most mountainous countryside, including the Brecon Beacons and Snowdonia. Beautiful but some tough tough cycling![/p][p]YFC might not be your thing - that's fine. But for those it is, please consider sponsoring a middle aged bloke through the four days of cycling the Lon Las challenge! [/p][p]Many thanks in anticipation![/p][p][br][/p][p][br][/p]
