My story

[p]As I write this I would have hoped to be well on the way to finishing the 40th London Marathon; whether this happens at all now is in doubt but the reasons I chose to run, and to raise donations for Pharmacist Support have never been more important. I'm still training, keeping fit and motivated to run this one day.[/p][p]Nineteen years ago I reached a point where I realised I needed help; I was unable to continue drinking but unable to stop drinking. I picked up the phone to the Health Support Programme run by the RPSGB Benevolent Fund (now Pharmacist Support) and started a train of events that totally changed my life. There have been so many amazing things happen as a result of that phone call, not least a successful career in Pharmacy which, I like to believe, has benefitted many others apart from myself.[/p][p]Pharmacist Support is an independent charity that continues to be a source of free, confidential assistance for pharmacists and their families and pharmacy students. PS provides information, employment advice, debt advice, wellbeing and stress management services, financial assistance, a confidential peer to peer helpline (Listening Friends) and Addiction Support Programme. Pharmacist Support is reliant on donations to continue to function.[/p][p]Pharmacists are experiencing challenges as never before. As I come to the end of my career I'm proud to be able to support the work of Pharmacist Support and I'm so grateful for your support of myself as I take on the challenge of the London Marathon. Thank you X[/p][p][br][/p]
