My story

[p]Our Team walkers are:[/p][p]Dave Stamp[/p][p]Eve Phillips[/p][p]Lynn Evans[/p][p]Esther Bakari[/p][p]Jane Thakoordin[/p][p]Delia Quetzali Arias Byrne[/p][p]Nas Poplazai[/p][p]We are proud to take part in the Birmingham Legal Walk 2019 and to raise money for the MLST which funds local advice services.[/p][p]Legal aid cuts have meant that agencies like ours, fighting to protect the rights of some of the most disadvantaged people in the UK, rely on the MLST's support to secure access to justice.[/p][p]Money raised will go towards helping children like 'Maria' and their families. http://asirt.org.uk/after-windrush/ , consigned to years of destitution within the 'hostile environment' which has been created for people subject to immigration control. The fallout of the Windrush Scandal, and the ongoing uncertainty over Brexit, gives us cause to believe that demand for our services isn't likely to end any time soon.[/p][p][br][/p][p]Please support us if you can![/p][p][br][/p][p][br][/p][p][br][/p]
