My story

[p]Hi, [/p][p]In November 2014 I am going to be rowing the Atlantic as part of an 8 man crew.  [/p][p]The  challenge has been  given the name of  the dual across the Atlantic as there are now two boats.  These are  8 man boat TOBY WALLACE and the 6 man boat OYSTERSHACK which are going HEAD-TO-HEAD in the mid-Atlantic  in a  bid to break the world record of 32 day for the crossing.  [/p][p]The MID ATLANTIC ROW route that we take is from Puerto de Mogan, Gran Canaria to Port St Charles, Barbados – some 2598 nm! (3000 miles) This is a favored route across the mid-Atlantic, as you usually find favorable currents and trade winds on this passage.  There are more detail on the web site http://www.oceanusrowing.co.uk/atlantic/     I am rowing in the Toby Wallace.  As part of the challenge I am  raising money and awarness for the North Devon Hospice. [/p][p]Follow us on Twitter and Facebook serach for Oceanus rowing .
