My story

[p]Hi, thanks for visiting my page. [/p][p]In April 2015 I'll be taking on the Wolf Run, a 10km a unique combination of three kinds of off-road running: mud runs, trail runs and obstacle runs. The only Wild Run in the UK, it’s a hardcore 10k run across raw natural terrain, including open ground, woodland, lakes & thick mud.[/p][lt]h3[gt]A Test of Mental & Physical Strength[lt]/h3[gt][p]I’ll be tackling a series of tough obstacles - both man-made and natural - designed to test participants' mental & physical strength, skill and stamina. I’ll have to run, climb, jump, wade, crawl and swim through a course designed to challenge participants on every level.[/p][lt]h3[gt]Raising Money & Awareness[lt]/h3[gt][p]Other than the run itself, my main objectives are to raise both money and awareness for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) a charity that works to reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD).  CRY supports young people diagnosed with potentially life-threatening cardiac conditions and offers bereavement support to families affected by YSCD. CRY promotes and develops heart screening programmes and funds medical research. CRY publishes and distributes medical information written by leading cardiologists for the general public and funds fast track referral, screening and cardiac pathology services at leading UK hospitals. I have become increasingly aware of CRY and their work after a friend suffered a heart attack due to an unidentified heart condition.[/p][lt]h3[gt]Virgin Money Giving[lt]/h3[gt][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p]
