My story

[p]Hi, thanks for visiting our page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to our charity.Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.  We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p][p]Broughton Primary is a city centre school with a wide catchment area and a rich mix of cultures and faiths, committed to bringing the best to each of our children.  [/p] [p]Last year, 22 children and 15 adults took part in the EMF and raised a brilliant £2,000 to help make the new playground a reality. This year we hope to raise £2,500 to add to the loose parts play starter kit already in use, and provide picnic bench seating for the children to eat lunch outside in comfort in warmer months.[/p] [lt]p class="xmsonormal"[gt]The PSA has funded 23 children to take part in the junior races, and to date 42 children have also self -funded to take part in the races and raise money for their school. That’s 65 amazing children in total running as a team, wearing t-shirts funded in partnership with our local Tesco Community Champion. [/p] [p] We feel that this is a great example of a community working together to improve our environment and our children’s health. It also shows how the children are taking responsibility for making their own school experience better, as well as having fun into the bargain.[/p] [p]With all P5 children and their teachers also taking part in The Daily Mile initiative to promote health and wellbeing Broughton Primary has really taken running to its heart. [/p] [p]Our wider aim is to raise £25,000 to make much needed improvements to the playground. Being in the heart of a busy, and developing community brings with it challenges as the school roll grows, and new classrooms have been built in the playground to accommodate the additional local children attending Broughton. Nearly two years of scaffolding while the former Broughton High School right next door is developed into flats, and essential repairs to the crumbling Victorian school building itself have made the playground dirty and restricted. The children’s school experience has suffered greatly as a result. [lt]br /[gt] [lt]br /[gt] So it's important that the space the children have access to for playing, relaxing and learning is the best it can be. Children, staff and parents are working together to bring to life an ambitious and much needed vision for a better environment for the children who attend the school, and live in the local area. [/p] [p] Please consider giving our fundraising effort a much needed boost  and our wonderful children the recognition they deserve by donating to our page.[/p] [p] Thank you from all the children, staff and parents at Broughton Primary School.[/p][lt]div dir="ltr"[gt][lt]div[gt][lt]div dir="ltr"[gt][lt]div[gt][lt]div[gt][lt]div dir="ltr"[gt][lt]div[gt][lt]div[gt][lt]div dir="ltr"[gt][lt]div dir="ltr"[gt][lt]div dir="ltr"[gt][lt]div[gt] [lt]/div[gt] [lt]/div[gt] [lt]/div[gt] [lt]/div[gt] [lt]/div[gt] [lt]/div[gt] [lt]/div[gt] [lt]/div[gt] [lt]/div[gt] [lt]/div[gt] [lt]/div[gt] [lt]/div[gt]
