To achieve this challenge I have had to put a lot of training in and have prepared both physically and mentally."[/p][p]"Wheelchair rugby is my passion. It has given me more confidence in myself and has greatly helped with my mental health as well as my physical health."[/p][p]Introduced to the sport by Bristol Bears Community Foundation little over 9 months ago, Beckie has gone from strength to strength in this time, not only representing Bristol Bears Wheelchair Rugby at multiple regional events, but also mentoring and developing a group of hungry and aspirational 15-19 year old disabled sportspeople.[/p][p]Having her own measured playing chair will allow Beckie to grow into the game, not only in her skill but her confidence as a young disabled woman, pushing ahead with here goal to represent her team at national competitions, as well as continue to bring others into the sport that has changed her life.[/p][p][br][/p][p]Joining Beckie in her challenge will be:[/p][p]Steve Slade - a founding member of Bristol Bears Wheelchair Rugby and previous Ciao grant recipient.[/p][p]Vicki Ross - Invictus Games athlete and previous Ciao grant recipient.[/p][p]Marcus Ross - club volunteer, player, teammate and all-round good guy.[/p][p]Jules Allen - Invictus Games athlete and previous Ciao grant recipient.[/p]
