Team story

[p]Hi, thanks for visiting our page. [/p][p]It’s time to get on your bike as Beard helps to raise funds for a new  children’s hospice. Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service is Beard’s charity of the year and we are organising a fundraising sponsored bike ride on Saturday, September 19[sup]th[/sup].[/p][p]This local charity was set up by Fiona and John Devine, inspired by their son, Alexander. It was only when Alexander was diagnosed with a brain tumour, aged just four, that they realised there was no children’s hospice in the Berkshire area.[/p][p]Sadly Alexander died after a brave 4 ½ year battle. But Fiona and John were so determined that the care and support they so desperately needed would be there for other local families, they founded Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service and now Beard is preparing to start work on this remarkable building. [/p][p]We need you to saddle up and get fundraising![/p][p]Or give a donation [/p][p]Please click here http://www.alexanderdevine.org/inspiration.html to understand why we are committed to this charity.[/p][p]We are looking for cyclists who want to ride from one of our 3 offices to the site of the Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice in Maidenhead.  We will lay on a BBQ or perhaps catering in a local pub, tbc [/p][p]Guildford office to Maidenhead - 23 miles[/p][p]Oxford office to Maidenhead - 39 miles[/p][p]Swindon office to Maidenhead - 62 miles[/p][p]We will provide transport to get you and your bike back to the respective offices so you’re not stranded in Maidenhead[/p][p]We would like to get as many people taking part as possible, so do you know any friends/ partners/ colleagues that could participate?[/p][p]Please contact me for further information at lucie.elliott@beardoxford.co.uk[/p]
