2021 Virgin Money London Marathon

[p]Once again we have the privilege of running to support Kelly's Trust in VMLM 2021, after running the 2020 Virtual Event. A fantastic opportunity to run the 40th and 41st London Marathons for a tiny local charity, with a big heart. [/p][p]I have been running with Laura for over 6 1/2 years now and we both belong to Uckfield Runners, having done many races together and with our running club colleagues. We also run at our weekly Parkrun in Tonbridge. It was a Parkrun friend who approached Laura to see if we would like to run the 2019 VMLM for the wonderful small charity his Parents had set up, following the death of his sister Kelly in 1997, aged just 18, having been diagnosed with leukaemia at 15.[/p][p]We jumped at the chance for many reasons. Being able to help a small local charity that we have a connection to is just wonderful. We were yet to run a road marathon together at that point in 2018, so being able to run with each other on the iconic London Marathon Route in April 2019 was a dream come true.[/p][p]So fast forward a year, well 2 now thanks to a Global Pandemic, and we are running for Kelly's Trust again in October 2021.
