My story

[p]The sad fact is that we all know someone with cancer and many of us know the fear, the suffering and the pain that it brings with it. I remember vividly the moment when Dad told us that he had secondary liver cancer and how our lives were turned upside down in a split-second.[/p][p]Sadly my wonderful Dad lost his brave battle last year. We had the most special year with him and he had a twinkle in his eye to the very end. In fact the photo of us at the restaurant was only 6 days before he passed away. He’d think I was mad doing this (and I think I am too!), but it seemed like the only positive thing I could do when everything else felt so helpless.[/p][p]I would appreciate it hugely if you could sponsor me to run the London Marathon and raise valuable money for Cancer Research. The charity receives no funding from the government so their life-saving work relies on the generosity of people like you. With our help they can continue to fund clinical trials to bring new cancer trreatments to patients as quickly and safely as possible and they can help scientists get closer to finding a cure.[/p][p]So here’s to you Dad, and here’s to beating cancer sooner xx[/p]
