Wear Pink - Breast Cancer Awareness month

[p]Thanks to everyone who supported our Wear Pink Campaign as part of Breast Cancer Awareness in October and wore PINK.[/p][p]We raised £1217.83 (including Gift Aid) for the 3 cancer charities FORCE Cancer Charity, Breast Cancer Now and The Institute of Cancer Research.[/p][p]Mrs T was diagnosed with breast cancer in March, had her op in April, chemotherapy in May till September and radiotherapy beginning of October. She is now keen to re-build her strength, fitness and stamina and hopefully get back to Taekwondo training. Unfortunately, all of this may have to wait as we prepare for a 2nd lockdown.[/p][p]All charity fundraising has really suffered financially since the 1st lockdown in March. If you wish there is still time to donate. [/p][p]FORCE is a Devon based charity committed to supporting anyone affected by cancer. The charity has been in existence since 1987 funding research, equipment and, since 2004, the FORCE Cancer Support Centre is on site at the RD&E in Exeter.[/p][p]Breast Cancer Now charity was formed in 2015 by the merger of Breast Cancer Campaign and Breakthrough Breast Cancer. On April 2019, Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Now officially became one charity. Breast Cancer Now is here for anyone affected by breast cancer, the whole way through, providing support and hope for the future. [/p][p]The Institute of Cancer Research is a public research institute and a constituent college of the University of London, specialising in oncology. It was founded in 1909 as a research department of the Royal Marsden Hospital and joined the University of London in 2003. [/p]
