My story
[p]The Seashell Sportive is going digital this year! Get your lycra on and join Team Seashell on your bike this Autumn. Don’t worry if the Sportive is not normally for you – this year there’s something for everyone. We want to encourage everyone to get involved, so whether you’re a novice cyclist or a seasoned pro, choose your challenge or do all four and get pedalling! There are medals to be earned and prizes to be won, including 10 x £50 My Protein vouchers and some cycling goodies from our friends at Pinarello – just ask people to sponsor you through this page or set up your own. And let us know how you get on using #SeashellBikefest.[/p][p] [/p][p] Challenge 1[/p][p] Cycle the equivalent of the Seashell Sportive epic route 100m in 30 days (just over 3 miles a day or 23 miles a week). Record it on Strava (or other fitness app) and share your progress with us tagging Seashell Trust and using #SeashellBikefest – there’s a medal for everyone who completes the 100m and raises money via Virgin Money Giving. [/p][p] [/p][p] Challenge 2[/p][p] Let’s have your best Strava ‘drawing’ – plan your route and then ‘draw’ it while you’re out cycling. Record it on Strava and post it on social media for us to see, tagging Seashell Trust and using the hashtag #SeashellBikefest There’ll be a prize for our favourite – so get creative![/p][p] [/p][p] Challenge 3[/p][p] Get out and about on your bike and join in our photo ‘scavenger hunt’. Instead of finding items, you’ll need to take photos – how many of the following can you find? We want to see you on your bike with the items from the list below. Tag Seashell Trust on social media and use #SeashellBikefest. There’ll be prizes for our favourite pics![/p][p] [/p][p] - At the furthest point from Seashell Trust (SK8 6RQ)[/p][p] - At the highest point [/p][p] - Best bike modification[/p][p] - With an animal in the background[/p][p] - Craziest cycling outfit[/p][p] - At sunrise or sunset [/p][p] - Best family ride photo[/p][p] - A place of worship/beautiful building[/p][p] - Best / worst weather ride[/p][p] - A well-known landmark[/p][p] - A beautiful landscape [/p][p] - Best picnic[/p][p] Challenge 4[/p][p]Join us on 20th September 2020 at 10am for a very special Zwift ride led by Team Ineos Grenadier. Rode the 75km route today. Great weather pity the sportive couldn't run. Looking foreward to next year.

Sad to not be crunching the legs around the Peak District this year especially as we would have been blessed with the weather for a change. Instead I rode the 75km route and imagined the feed station at Derbyshire bridge being as good as last year

I really missed the Sportive this year, however the zwift group ride made up for it. Thanks everyone involved for putting it on.
