My story

[p]Having worked within mental health services for 40 years and being recently retired I thought it would be good to give something back. I am spending 7 months walking around our beautiful coastline to raise funds for 3 local services supporting people who experience any combination of loneliness, poor mental health or alcohol and addiction misuse. The 3 groups that funds raised will be split between are Ayr Action for Mental Health, Recovery Ayr and the "Cumnock Manhut". Every £1.00 can make a difference to someone's journey of recovery. We met Billy on a glorious morning in Melvich, just as he was setting off for a leg of his walk. It was great to meet him and to hear about his epic walk and we both wish him all the very best.
