[p]The 24-hour challenge will commence at [b]15.00[/b] on [b]Wednesday 20th March[/b] and finish at [b]15.00[/b] on [b]Thursday 21st March.[/b][/p][p]The challenge is to cover 3,052 land miles in 24 hours[/p][p]This mileage is the same number of nautical miles Lord George and the Oar Inspiring Team rowed across the Atlantic. To do this, between us, we need to cover 127.2 miles per hour for the whole 24 hours.[/p][p][u]This event is in aid of two important charities:[/u][/p][p][b]The Starlight Foundation[/b] – [i]Starlight brightens the lives of seriously ill children by granting wishes-of-a-lifetime and providing fun, laughter and entertainment to children in hospitals and hospices across the UK.[/i][/p][p][b]The Archway Foundation[/b] – [i]Loneliness is an experience many of us go through at various points in our lives. Feelings of loneliness affects people of all ages and backgrounds. The Archway Foundation helps relieve some of the real distress caused by loneliness.[/i][/p]
