Team story

[p]Hi, thanks for visiting our page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p][p]Social isolation is a huge issue. It is crippling large parts of our society, with nearly one third of the population being affected by it at some point in their lives.[/p][p][span=font-size: large;]“I never left my house and I felt no motivation to do anything.”[/span][/p][p][/p][p]Britain is the loneliness capital of Europe and social isolation is playing a big part in it. We all know that loneliness affects older people, who find it harder to get out and about, but did you know that an incredible 80% of under 18s have also reported feeling lonely? Despite, and sometimes because of, social media, it seems the people of Britain are finding themselves more lonely and isolated than ever before.[/p][p]Carr Gomm has had a significant impact in local communities in recent years. Despite the impact of our work, there is still much to do across Scotland.[/p][p][/p][lt]h3[gt]We need your help.[lt]/h3[gt][p] [span=font-size: large;]What’s the aim? [/span]We need to raise at least £50,000 by 1st September 2017 to keep our community projects running.[/p][p][span=font-size: large;]How can we achieve it?[/span] We are looking for 100 people, or teams, to raise £500 each in the most creative, exciting and fun ways possible.[/p][p]Thank you for your support. Together, we can help combat social isolation and loneliness.[/p][lt]p style="text-align: left;"[gt]Not able to be one of the 100? You can still get involved by making a donation.
