My story

[p]So this seemed a good idea at the time. A new learning experience and how often do you get to set foot on the runway at Aberdeen Airport, let alone run on part of it? (Ok might not manage that all the way, but the training is in hand which should help). [/p][p]Too good an opportunity to miss and delighted to help out 3 fine charities in the process. Please help me smash my target![/p][p]Sue Ryder run Dee View Court in Kincorth. They work closely with a range of health and social care professionals to deliver 24-hour care and support to people living with complex needs and neurological conditions. Each resident has their own specially adapted room, and is free to participate in community-based recreational activities. [/p][p]Veterans with Dogs aim to improve the quality of life for Veterans through the companionship of dogs using training, education and support services. These services can include assistance dogs, companion animals and pets. We ask an awful lot of our armed service personnel, they see things nobody should and can return not only physically but mentally scarred. Having something else to focus on and care for, other than coping alone with your dark thoughts has got to be a positive surely?[/p][p]Aberdeen Airport has teamed up with Befriend a Child as their charity partner to help turn a frown upside down. This charity supports disadvantaged and troubled school-aged children and young people growing up in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. I was lucky enough to have a happy childhood. Support my efforts to help young people today have the same opportunity as I did.[/p]
