My story

[p]Hi, thanks for visiting my page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p][p]On 1st July 2018 I will be taking part in [b][i]Iron Man Austria.[/i][/b][/p][p]An Ironman Triathlon is one of a series of long-distance triathlon races organized by the World Triathlon Corporation (WTC), a subsidiary of the Chinese Wanda Group, consisting of a [b]2.4-mile (3.86 km) swim[/b], a [b]112-mile (180.25 km) bicycle ride [/b]and a marathon [b]26.22-mile (42.20 km) run[/b], raced in that order and without a break.I am once again raising funds for the Openwork Foundation Cares for Kids which is part of the Zurich Community TRust and grants money to local childrens charities recommended by the staff and advisers within Openwork.[/p][p]The Iron man event is a total distance of 140.6 miles so my target has been set at £14,060[/p][p]Having been inspired by a friend that some of you will know I have decided to really raise the Bar on my fund raising for this and the events below which will form part of my training.[/p][p]- Dunwich Dynamo - 111 mile cycling ride overnight on 8th/9th July 2017[/p][p]- Ride London 2018 - 100 miles cycling from london to the Surrey Hills and back[/p][p]- Dartford Road Runners 10k run on August 2017 bank Holiday[/p][p]- Demelza 10k run on 10th September 2017[/p][p]- Weymouth 70.3 Iron man on 17th September 2017[/p][p]- Dartford Bridge 10k run on 24th September 2017[/p][p]- Royal Parks Half marathon run on 8th October 2017[/p][p]- Openwork Foundation 2017 overseas challenge to Kerala, India - 5 days cycling over 300km [/p][p]- 22nd July 2018 - The London Marathon - just a little warm up for the main event in July[/p][p]- 20th May 2018 - The Grafman Middle distance Triathalon[/p][p]I will be adding to these events as the Iron man approaches and you can see more at the following link and also follow my progress on social media  [/p][p][url=http://www.downtonandali.org.uk/charity-events/]http://www.downtonandali.org.uk/charty-events/[/url][/p][p]You can also find my monthky Charity Blog at[/p][p][url=http://www.downtonandali.org.uk/charities-blog/]http://www.downtonandali.org.uk/charities-blog/[/url][/p]
