Team story

[lt]div[gt][span=font-size: 12px; color: #2a2a2a; line-height: 15px; font-family: Tahoma,Verdana,Arial,sans-serif; white-space: nowrap;][lt]span style="font-size: 13px; line-height: 17px; white-space: normal;"[gt]On the 22nd of September we will leave Brighton on a 300 mile cycle challenge raising money for St Peter and St James's Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Support.[lt]br /[gt]We aim to complete our challenge in just 3 days, cycling 100 miles each day, travelling across France and Belgium and arriving at our final destination of Brugge on Monday evening.[lt]br /[gt]We have chosen to organise the event ourselves to ensure that as much money as possible goes to our chosen charities. [lt]br /[gt]Most people will have heard of Macmillan, while only those in Sussex may know of the St Peter and St James Hospice in Wivelsfield. Macmillan Cancer Care is a national charity which relies on donations for 96% of its funding to help cancer patients and their relatives; St Peter and St James Hospice provide specialist care, love and support for those living with progressive, life limiting illnesses from East and West Sussex.[lt]br /[gt]These two charities have helped Ollie (team member) and his family since Ollie’s mum, Val, was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour in June 2008.[lt]br /[gt]Val took the news amazingly well, always determined to remain as happy and healthy as she could. Her regular visits to Brighton hospital for chemo and radiotherapy must have been distressing and painful, but she never once lost her smile or positive outlook.[lt]br /[gt]Val has recently been diagnosed with a further tumour that sadly can’t be treated, yet she remains in amazing sprits and her family are sure this is partly due to the care that the Hospice and Macmillan give.[lt]br /[gt]Both organisations are incredibly supportive not only to Val but to the whole family; they are never too busy to give their time and support.[lt]br /[gt]We aim to raise £6000 in sponsorship. [lt]br /[gt]These charities need your money to continue to provide their services so please dig deep![lt]br /[gt][/span][lt]/span[gt][lt]/div[gt]
