Team story

[p]We are taking part in a 3,000 mile unsupported rowing race across the Atlantic ocean, called the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge. It starts in La Gomera and finishes in Antigua, and is known as "the worlds toughest row".[/p][p]We are the Maclean brothers. Born in Edinburgh and raised on the North-West coast of Scotland we are a team that is bound by blood, salt and spirit. Our goal is to become the first three brothers to row any ocean and to raise £250,000 and as much awareness as possible for our two charities, Children 1st and Feedback Madagascar.[/p][p]We will row day and night, repeating shifts of two hours of rowing and one hour of rest until we reach the other side. The crossing will take between 40 to 60 days through 40-foot waves, shark-infested waters and busy shipping lanes.[/p][p]We are doing the hard bit, this is where you come in. Please help us reach our goal by donating something today. Even a couple quid means the world to us and will make a huge difference to the causes we are supporting. Please be sure to tick the GiftAid box as well - the government will add an extra amount on top of your donation, just for ticking a box (it doesn't cost you anything!)[/p][p]To read more about what the challenge entails, who we are and why we are doing this challenge, please visit www.broar.co.uk or follow us on social media @broaratlantic.[/p][p]Thanks for your time.[/p][p]Ewan, Jamie & Lachlan MacLean[/p]
