My story

[p]Thank you for visiting our team's fundraising page for the London Legal Support Trust’s 2020 London legal sponsored walk. We're taking on 10K for justice on the 8th June. [/p][p]Our team is: Catherine Dempsey (with more to follow) [/p][p]We are walking with the Lord Chief Justice and thousands of lawyers to raise funds for Citizens Advice East End. All funds received by the London Legal Support Trust from this page will be donated directly to Citizens Advice East End without deduction.[/p][p]Citizens Advice East End helps some of the most vulnerable people in Hackney, Newham and Tower Hamlets with problems including debt, benefits, housing, employment, immigration and family welfare - most of us are volunteers, over 100 in a team of 130. We couldn't open our doors every day without our amazing volunteers. Last year we helped over 32,000 people, increasing incomes by over £19 million and preventing homelessness for 1,431 families.[/p][p]Our advice is free, confidential, impartial and independent. We value diversity, promote equality and challenge discrimination.[/p][p]The need for this service has grown considerably over the past few years but the resources for providing help have become ever more scarce. [/p][p]Please sponsor our walkers as generously as you are able [/p][p]Many thanks for your support [/p]
