My story

[p]Thank you for visiting our team's fundraising page for the 2019 London Legal sponsored walk. We're taking on 10K for justice on the 17th June 2019.[/p][p]Our team is: Lorraine Buchanan, David Buchanan, Jakki Mimms, Charles Croker, Laurence Oates, Brenda Oates, Phil Stubbs and Sammi Hope[/p][p]Citizens Advice Woking is a local charity providing free, impartial and confidential advice to the residents of Woking. We have seen an increase in the numbers of clients who have been contacting us for help. In the first three months of 2019 we have given advice and information to 1849 clients which is a 13% increase from the number of clients who were helped in the last three months of 2018. The numbers of issues these clients asked about increased by 28% in the same period, with housing issues increasing by 17%, debt issues by 13% and benefit issues by 4%. We cannot continue to deliver an increased service without securing additional funding. Each new client enquiry costs us £55 and any subsequent contact with the client costs us a further £20. Help us to raise £5,000 so we can continue to support all the clients who need our help.[/p][p]Citizens Advice service provides free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities. It values diversity, promotes equality and challenges discrimination. We're an registered charity and part of the Citizens Advice network across England and Wales.[/p][p]Please sponsor our walkers as generously as you are able.[/p][p]All funds received by LLST though this page will be donated to Citizens Advice Woking without deduction.[/p][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p]

Absolutely disgraceful the way WBC are demanding you raise funds to support your voluntary work; I cannot believe that you have to go fundraising to support your the time you freely give to the community. Good luck with the walk & your wonderful work.
