My story

[p][b]On 29[sup]th[/sup] October 2017, over 100 lithe, athletic and/or committed runners and walkers will be taking part in a well-known local 10 mile run, near the village of Chorleywood, called the ‘Ricky Road Run’. [/b][/p][p][b]We are running and walking the RRR to raise funds for The Cure Parkinson’s Trust, a charity dedicated to finding a cure for this devastating degenerative neurological condition.   [/b][/p][p][b][span=font-size: 9pt; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;" lang="EN]Many of us are also taking on this challenge in memory of the former President of CPT, Tom Isaacs.  Tom was diagnosed with Parkinson’s at the age of 26, and died in May this year aged 49.  He never admitted defeat, never accepted that Parkinson’s was an incurable condition, and in 2005 he set up CPT to focus on the search for a cure.[/span][/b][/p][p][b]Tom loved the RRR – one of his appearances is shown on the right in the top image - the infamous 1992 race featuring the devastating Dave'n'Tom double act.
