Team story

[p]We are proud to be raising money for two charities that are very close to our hearts. Please read our stories below which outline why we are supporting these incredibly important organisations.[/p][p]You can also link through to the charities below to see the amazing work that they do. [/p][p]St Georges Hosptial, Neuro ICU fund:[/p][p]https://www.stgeorgeshospitalcharity.org.uk/find-a-fund/neuro-icu [/p][p]In July 2016, one of our team's family member suffered a near fatal brain haemorrhage and was admitted to the Neuro ICU at St. George’s, London. The care and attention received by both patient and relatives was outstanding from the outset; ranging from the incredible emergency surgeons to ongoing daily support from the ICU nurses, the family knew he was in the best hands. Thanks to the wonderful work of the staff in the ICU and supporting departments, he has made a full recovery. [/p][p]The St. George’s Hospital Charity provides equipment and facilities to improve care and patient experience. At a time when NHS trusts are fighting against cuts and squeezes, we are trying to do our part to ensure that the life saving work at this hospital can continue. [/p][p][br][/p][p]The Brompton Fountain:[/p][p]http://www.thebromptonfountain.org.uk/[/p][p]Earlier this year one of our team's daughter attended her first pregnancy scan and was informed that her baby boy had a congenital heart condition call Tetrology of Fallot (TOF).[/p][p]This condition means he will need open heart surgery at the Brompton Hospital to repair his heart and ongoing treatment and possible further surgery moving forward. The Brompton Fountain is a real life line to parents , siblings and extended family, offering invaluable support from specialist staff and other parents going through this experience. They offer, advice on how to deal with every day life whilst your child is in hospital, help with getting siblings to understand the condition, specialist play facilities, parents social events and a shoulder to cry on it needed ! They also fund specialist equipment such as heart scanners.[/p][p]This service is totally reliant on charitable funding and is invaluable to these children and their parents. Please help these little heart warriors and their families get the support they need.[/p]
