My story

[p]UPDATE[/p][p][br][/p][p]My thanks to all of you who sponsored me for the Ride London Event. I also want to pass on the gratitude and thanks from the Injured Players Foundation who tell me that although they haven’t got a final figure, have raised more than they expected. All Your donations will be well used.[/p][p]More to the point, I had a nice day out riding a hundred miles with thousands of other cyclists half of whom were getting in my way while the rest were hurtling by shouting for me to get out of their road. I kept up a fair pace (for me) for the first part, 40 miles in 2 hours, but then it all started to go up hill. I finally finished, heavy legged, in just over 6 hours and then raced off to get a few pints down me at the Dog and Duck in Soho. Added picture as I was leaving - still sober(ish).[/p][p]—————————————————————-[/p][p][br][/p][p]Old fart to ride a hundred miles![/p][p]Happy to raise money for the RFU Injured Players Foundation who do so much to help rugby players of all standards who have been injured playing the sport. Serious injuries are still few and far between given the number of people who play rugby but when they do happen they can be life changing for players and their families. The Foundation aims to help people in these circumstances and I have seen some of their work at first hand as they supported a player from my own club, Hammersmith and Fulham RFC.[/p]
