My story

[p]Our mental health isn’t always the easiest subject to talk about, but when it comes to seeking help, addressing issues and reducing stigma, it’s really important that we don’t bury our heads in the sand. [/p][p]Over the last few years I have personally struggled with mental health issues. But due to the stigma that surrounds it, I carried on with my life, like everything was normal![/p][p]I eventually hit rock bottom in my life, where i thought about harming myself. Eventually my mental health won the battle and at a very low point in my life I self harmed. [/p][p]I even contemplated ending my own life to make the stress and misery disappear.[/p][p][br][/p][p]However With the help of my amazing family, friends and certain work colleagues I came out fighting! I got the help I needed and I decided to tell people what I had been through over the last few years. [/p][p]I am now in a better place and slowly getting back to enjoying my life! I decided to raise money for Young Minds, by running the total warrior 12km on June 22nd with a group of close friends from work & my beloved family members. This charity helps young people come forward who have mental health problems and helps them deal with the matter, no matter how big or small it is. [/p][p]The charity works very close with the younger generation and I believe that we shouldn’t be afraid to admit we have a mental health problem. I’m aiming to raise a mere £100 so that a young person can get the help Like I did, before they reach rock bottom and end up doing something silly to themselves.[/p][p]Any donations no matter how big or small will help this wonderful charity. I thank you all for taking the time to read this.[/p][p][br][/p]
