My story

[p]A New Year always brings new challenges and for me this is my biggest one yet. [/p][p]I feel incredibly lucky to have gained a ballot place to run the 2020 London Marathon and for a novice runner like myself, it is an extremely surreal yet inspiring feeling. The last few months have meant training here and there, with just short distances being completed, however, as the New Year begins my 16 week training plan commences! [/p][p]Not only am I using this amazing opportunity to challenge myself, get fit and learn to love a new hobby, I am also lucky enough to be able to raise as much money as I can for an amazing charity. In 2011 our family lost an incredibly special person and Sue Ryder were always there to offer help, respite, comfort and most importantly caring, holistic, kind and compassionate nursing care. As a nurse myself, I know how much this love and kindness can bring to both patient and family, at such an incredibly sad and painful time. [/p][p]I am running as part of #teamincredible and in memory of my uncle, David Moore, and would like to raise as much money for the Sue Ryder charity, particularly the Nettlebed Hospice, Henley. I would love to try to give back just a little bit of the kindness that they showed to us 10 years ago. [/p][p]I would be so grateful for any donation, however, large or small, and if you are able to add GiftAid it would make an even bigger difference.[/p][p]Thank you all so much for your support.[/p]
