[p]For as long as I remember, The Leanne fund has been providing myself and fellow cystic fibrosis (cf) patients and families in the Grampian, Highlands and Islands vital social, practical and financial support. [/p][p]They are the foremost Cystic Fibrosis charity working with individuals and families. There is no other Cystic Fibrosis organisation that provides the service that The Leanne Fund do. [/p][p]Personally speaking I have had “pamper boxes” and tv cards whilst in hospital to take my mind off of being unwell away from my family. I had counselling paid for to help me when my mental health wasn’t good due to the debilitating disease that is cystic fibrosis and what comes with it. At home I’ve had a wii fit console and an excercise bike to help get my body strong for a double lung transplant when I was on the active urgent list. I am still very weak and take each day as it comes but still continue to need and use these amazing gifts. [/p][p]Since starting the amazing Kaftrio on 28th August 2020, I have managed to come off of the transplant list and get my life back. Back to being able to be a mum to my 5 year old, a wife to my amazing husband who was my carer for sooo many years, a friend to my amazing besties and a daughter/grand daughter to my godsend of a family. [/p][p]The Leanne fund has always been there fighting alongside me with the amazing Cystic Fibrosis team in Aberdeen providing anything I needed to help.Chrisetta is literally like my fairy godmother. [/p][p]This year marks their Tenth anniversary and due to the COVID all the amazing things they had planned to do to fundraise has had to be cancelled. Their service requires donations and support to continue their amazing work for every Cystic Fibrosis patient and families on Grampian, Highlands and Islands.[/p][p]I plan to give back to this amazing charity for everything they have done and continue to do for me and my family by walking up Bennachie in Aberdeenshire with some of my amazing besties, husband and not forgetting my dog Sofia, on the 21st of November. I am going to train as hard as I can to make this happen on my excercise bike and walking my daughter to school to build up my strength and stamina as as you can imagine I’ve never been able to do something like this before.[/p][p]Please help me raise money for them. [/p][p]Thank you very much x[/p]
