My story

[p]Joseph Kendrick is an 11-year-old boy who has NKH (Non-Ketotic Hyperglycinemia), a very rare life-limiting genetic disorder that severely affects his development. Joseph's Goal is a charity set up to increase awareness of NKH and to raise funds for research.[/p][p]Joseph was Wigan Athletic's mascot for their remarkable FA Cup final victory in 2013 and the club have regularly supported fundraising efforts for Joseph's Goal.[/p][p]To raise money for Joseph's Goal and awareness of NKH, I committed to completing a marathon for every Championship game Wigan won in the 2019-20 season, with the aim of trying to do them all inside one month in September. They ended up winning 15 games, so that means a total of 15 marathons - a shade over 393 miles.[/p][p]A couple of injury setbacks mean I won't quite have 15 done by the end of the month as planned, but I'm hoping it won't take me too many days more than the intended 30![/p][p]Please give generously if you can and share this page to raise awareness of NKH and Joseph's Goal. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far![/p]

Fair play Chris. A daft challenge. As a casual runner who does about 12 miles a week usually can't imagine the pain you're enduring. All the best for the last few runs!
