My story

[p]Over the next few weeks, I will be taking part in two endurance events to hopefully raise lots of money for two small, but amazing charities - Action for A-T and Nerve Tumours UK.[/p][p]On Sunday 26th September, I will be joining a big group of friends to do the Surrey Hills Marathon Walk and then, three weeks later, on Sunday 17th October, I will again be undertaking the Oxford Half Marathon.[/p][p]Action for A-T is an Epsom based charity that raises money for medical research to find a cure or medical advancement that will enable children who suffer with Ataxia Telangiectasia (A-T) to live a longer and healthier life. Please visit https://actionforAT.org for more information.[/p][p]Nerve Tumours UK provides support and information, as well as campaigns and raises awareness on behalf of over 26,500 people in the UK who have Neurofibromatosis (NF1 and NF2) and Schwannomatosis. They exist to improve lives for people with nerve tumours, by making sure those affected have access to the help they require. Please visit https://nervetumours.org.uk for more information.[/p][p]I have a personal connection to both charities - my friend Sean is the Chief Exec of Action for A-T and I have been lucky to hear first-hand of the amazing research that is facilitated by their tireless efforts. [/p][p]I am supporting Nerve Tumours UK as my friend and colleague - Lee has an amazing son called Daniel who has Neurofibromatosis Type 1. Lee was practically through his own training for the London Marathon this year when he had to make the awful decision to withdraw from this years event due to injury. Nerve Tumours UK was one of Lee's chosen charities and so I felt it right to share whatever I raise equally between these two amazing organisations.[/p][p]Any support you can give will be amazing....thank you![/p][p]Chris [/p]
