My story

[p]Having a had a daughter 2 years ago I'd gotten a bit lazy leading to all my clothes shrinking in the wash and not fitting anymore...so thought I'd challenge myself and raise some money for a good cause. I hate running and have always been lazy so this is going to be interesting![/p][p]January 1st marks 10 weeks until the run and I'm still only running 5k at a time so I've given up booze and bought a soup maker to help with the diet...I hope it works![/p][p]The Children's Hospice are a great cause who do amazing work for the families they support and having a young family of my own want to make sure I can play my part to make sure they can support families in their time of need.[/p][p]Any donations are greatly appreciated and I'm aiming for under 2 hours. Fingers crossed![/p][p][br][/p][p]-UPDATE-[/p][p]13/1/2019[/p][p]This weekend I ran my quickest 5k on Saturday and felt great so thought I'd go for it on Sunday and attempt 10k! I found a comfortable pace which would put me at about 2:10 time for the full 13.1 mile run and everything was going great until the last kilometre when my body started to fall apart! [/p][p]Whilst resting my aching self on the sofa I did some running blog reading and found out my body had ran out of fuel which makes sense. [/p][p]Next time i'll need to take a small running bottle and start drinking around 8k to see if that helps! [/p]
