My story

[p]I have been running for fun for many years but i have somehow never completed a marathon. [/p][p]I know they are tough...i know they are a physical and mental challenge to push yourself to keep on running and not give up when every part of your body is in pain and screaming for you to stop. I am sure i will learn just how difficult they are on 28th April but...i know however hard it is...however much of a struggle it is for my body and mind...it is nowhere near as challenging as it is to live with Parkinson's. [/p][p]I have always felt extremely lucky that I have two parents that i look up to and that I think our lovely, brilliant people. Since Dad was diagnosed with Parkinson's i have seen another side to them...how strong they are. Their response to this extremely difficult illness in my eyes has been nothing short of heroic. My mum's constantly positive attitude and patience, my dads appreciation for what he's got and his silent determination to continue doing everything he enjoy's in life whilst his body decides it will no longer function has been inspiring. [/p][p]I have unfortunately been very close to a number of people in my life that have had some of life's most difficult situations thrust upon them and, it amazes me how strong the human spirit can be even when faced with such difficulties. [/p][p]So, whilst i run through 26.2 miles of London's great streets my body willing me to stop, i won't. i will be finding inspiration and strength from all! of you and I will see you at the finish line! [/p][p]Thank you all for your kind donations, every penny counts to this very worthy cause![/p][p][br][/p][p]Casey X[/p][p][br][/p]
