My story

[p][br][/p][p]I will have been in lockdown for over 3 months come the end of June. And my running and trying to get fit ideas, haven’t exactly been consistent! I have done more procrastinating than actual running! [/p][p]So I started back with a run today (1st June) and decided that I really needed to do a 2k run every day in June to really try and get fit, especially since I’m not charging around the shops at the moment whilst I’m without my job. [/p][p]I ended up, whilst lost in my thoughts, running 3K, although I found it so difficult today!! So I’m pushing myself to do 3K every day over this month of June, in total I need to run 90k!! [/p][p]Then I thought it seemed absolutely ridiculous that I couldn’t also try and raise some money for one of my bestest friend’s son Harry. [/p][p]Its over 4 years ago since Harry who is 8 was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a severe muscle wasting disease caused by the lack of a vital muscle protein called dystrophin. Harry is slowly loosing the ability to walk, climb and run. Eventually by the time he is 10 years old he will end up in a wheelchair. The disease continues to loose upper body function and life expectency is early 20's. We are racing against time for a cure. Funding is needed for research and treatments. [/p][p]The charity we are suporting is Duchenne UK who have set a target to end Duchenne in 10 years. They are at halfway point to this mission. We strongly believe that there will be a cure found in this time. But we need help to raise vital funds for research.[/p][p]Harry is a lovely little boy and we want to give him the chance to live a happy and fulfilling life as best we can.[/p][p]Please help us and Help Harry and other sufferers end Duchenne in 10 !![/p][p]Thank you for visiting this page and donating to Help Harry.[/p][p][br][/p]
