My story
[p]Thanks for visiting my page! Most of my friends will know that I was supposed to run London in 2017. Unfortunately, after being ill a lot, I had to defer to 2018. I'm back to being fit and healthy and have just returned form running the Berlin marathon with a 28 minute PB. [/p][p]I chose to run for the Dogs Trust as we've always had rescue pets including the two dogs we have at the moment, Trixie and Dolly. Both came into our home from being unwanted so we took them in and gave them some love! It's dogs like these that The Dogs Trust helps to rehome and, through Virgin Money Giving, you can help them to continue to do their work![/p][p]If you sponsor me through VMG donations will be quickly passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p][p]Thanks, Claire #runningforthedogs[/p][p]EDIT: I'm half way! Yippee! [/p][p]EDIT: I've over the thousand pound mark! Getting closer every day. Thanks everyone for the donations! [/p][p]EDIT: Just over £500 to go! Thank you everyone! [/p][p]EDIT: Unfortunately I won't be completing the London Marathon in 2017. I've been ill a lot this year already which hasn't allowed me much time to train so I'll be doing it in 2018 instead. Thank you to all who have donated so far! I will be keeping my place with the Dogs Trust and I'm able to carry over the money I've already raised. I still have a way to go so any help is much appreciated! [/p][p]EDIT: Training has started! 100 days to go and less than £270 left to be raised! :)[/p][p]Edit: Less than £200 to go! [/p][p]EDIT: I did it! Or rather you lovely, generous people did it! Thank you to everyone who donated money or prizes/donations for the table top sale, cheered me on, motivated me, lent their facility and who sweated to raised money for the Dogs Trust!
