My story

[lt]span[gt] [lt]div[gt][lt]span[gt]Back in 2012 we completed a fundraising challenge with our dog to walk the 100 mile South Downs Way. Alfie wasn't our dog at the time, Rescue Remedies dog rescue charity were looking for a home for him, but of course we ended up homing him ourselves. I haven't done any fundraising for the charity since but on a bit of a whim I recently signed-up to do the South Coast Challenge which is a 100km (62 miles) trek: http://www.southcoastchallenge.com/[lt]/span[gt][lt]/div[gt] [lt]div[gt][lt]span[gt][lt]br /[gt][lt]/span[gt][lt]/div[gt] [lt]div[gt][lt]span[gt]I initially signed-up just for a personal challenge but then thought it would only be right if I tried to raise some money for Rescue Remedies again. The charity has recently taken ownership of a boarding kennels and are turning it into a rescue centre (and have just taken in 30 new arrivals). Rescue Remedies is entirely run by volunteers and all their effort goes into saving dogs.[lt]/span[gt][lt]/div[gt][lt]div[gt][lt]span[gt][lt]br /[gt][lt]/span[gt][lt]/div[gt] [lt]div[gt][lt]span[gt]There are a number of options on the challenge - I could walk, jog or run and choose to do a half or quarter distance or complete the challenge in two separate days. I'm getting on a bit to contemplate running but I've signed-up to do the whole 100km and will be attempting to walk it non-stop (I may throw in some jogging depending on how I'm feeling). The target time for walking is 20 - 33 hours so if I can be anywhere around the 24 hour mark I'll be satisfied.[lt]/span[gt][lt]/div[gt] [lt]div[gt][lt]span[gt][lt]br /[gt][lt]/span[gt][lt]/div[gt] [lt]div[gt][lt]span[gt]Please support me in this effort if you can. The money will be directly saving lives of dogs who are at risk of being euthanised.[lt]/span[gt][lt]/div[gt] [lt]/span[gt]
