My story

[p]⚠? Coronavirus COVID-19 Update ⚠?[/p][p]so 2021 didn’t happen as I could COVID and was unable to train, then Lisa was diagnosed with breast cancer and I’ve put everything on hold. [/p][p]Thank you to all who have sponsored me so far, your donations have helped Lyme Disease UK and will continue to do so. [/p][p]I am still running this event instead postponed until 2022 (it’ll be Good Friday again). Please continue to sponsor me, as Lyme Disease isn’t going away. [/p][p]Stay safe and look after yourselves. [/p][p]Colin [/p][p][br][/p][p]My Story ...... [/p][p]My name is Colin Ratcliffe, husband to Lisa Ratcliffe who unfortunately has been a long suffering Lyme Disease patient for a number of years. She was bitten by an infected tick some 5 years ago, and has been struck down with countless debilitating symptoms ever since. [/p][p]She is unable to work and is registered disabled, has difficulty with everyday life whilst trying to be a Mum, Wife and lead as normal a life as possible. All because of a little tick bite which at the time we didn’t know would have such devastating effects without having the right course of immediate treatment. [/p][p]Lyme Disease UK is charitable organisation offering support for Lyme Disease patients and their loved ones. They are a fantastic source of information and help for us, and a key link to others who share this wicked condition which at the present doesn’t have a cure. [/p][p]This is why I’ve chosen to support them, and help people like my Lisa. [/p][p]On the 10th April 2020 (Good Friday) I will be undertaking the Manchester to Liverpool Ultra Marathon (M2L) running 50 miles. I’m being joined by a small contingent of my running club members (BTR Road Runners, Hoylake), who are going to help support the charity also, which is brilliant. [/p][p]It would be wonderful if you are able to support by sponsoring me on this challenging adventure. [/p][p]Please spread the word and share my challenge ..... let’s help Lyme Disease UK to fight for a cure and continued support to the many suffering Lyme patients. [/p][p]Thanks so much [/p]
