Team story

There are some things in life that capture your imagination and for us LEJOG is something that we have always wanted to do. As our family and friends know and I suspect, our work colleagues dread; we never do anything by halves, why aim low when there are stars to be shot at!

The Ultimate 3 (www.ultimate3.org) combines our passion for cycling and climbing and gives us the chance to get to grips with kayaking, of the Sit On Top variety.

Colin says "I have been hugely impressed by the team at the Railway Children and what they have achieved. As a soldier I saw life at some pretty low ebbs in a variety of conflicts and in impoverished countries of the world but I have increasingly been struck by the scale of hardship here at home. Felix is a long standing supported of the Railway Children and has helped them in a variety of ways over a number of years".

Felix says "the railway, is the artery which feeds so many economies and countries, it is also a magnet to isolated and vulnerable children, young men and women. In the UK alone over 100,000 children per year under the age of 16, run away from home and many of those are drawn towards our railway stations. The Railway Children charity aims to get to these street children before the streets get to them"

Calls on our charitable nature are many and it is getting harder for smaller organisations like the Railway Children to make themselves heard and differentiate themselves.

Thanks for visiting our page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
