My story
[p]The Concrete Society has been celebrating ‘Excellence in the Use of Concrete’ for over 50 years by rewarding outstanding projects with its renowned industry awards. This year, The Society will to do so in a slightly different way. Although we are unable to hold our traditional Awards Dinner, we will announce the winners via The Society website and social media channels on 9 November. We will as usual continue to support a nominated charity leading up to the winners’ announcements. [/p][p]This year we have chosen CRASH, a construction industry charity that exists to deliver social impact to communities across the UK by helping homelessness charities and hospices with refurbishment and construction projects – a principle particularly well-aligned with The Concrete Society. By choosing CRASH as The Society’s nominated charity, we can help the construction industry support those most in need. Although times are difficult for everyone this year, if you are able to make a donation, however small, it will make a difference, particularly as many traditional fundraising events have been cancelled. However, you don’t need to be involved with the Awards or The Society to get involved with such a worthwhile cause. Perhaps the donation could be the drinks you would have bought at the Awards Dinner, or the cost of the cup of coffee that you now don’t buy at the station every day, or the cost of your train fare to the office, now that you are working from home. Whatever you can spare, CRASH will use it to help our industry help those who need it most. Please ask your colleagues to help too.[/p][p]Donate here… Thank you![/p][p][br][/p]

Other ways to support The Concrete Society's fundraising effort
Delighted to be supporting this worthy charity, shame we are unable to hold an Awards Presentation evening where we would probably have raised more money.
