Team story

[p]EXPLORE THE OUTDOORS AND TAKE ON OUR CYCLE CHALLENGE [/p][p]Please help us raise money for Children’s Hospice South West. This is a charity very close to our hearts. Our beautiful daughter, Sophie, has a rare life limiting condition called CDKL5. Developmentally she is significantly delayed and cannot talk or even sit unsupported. She suffers daily seizures. Caring for her is exhausting and the hospice provides our family with much needed respite and emotional support.[/p][p]OUR CHALLENGE [/p][p]For the past two years we have participated in the RIde for Precious Lives. This is a 205mile cycle covering three ( hilly counties) and stopping at the three Children’s Hospice’s in the South West. We need to raise £4K in sponsorship and need your help.[/p][p]YOUR CHALLENGE [/p][p]We want to get the Nation cycling! We want you to get out with your family and friends to cycle a mile,(or more), and then tell us about your cycle in the blog below. If you feel comfortable, please add photos! We want to see how many miles we can clock up between us. And, most importantly, we would like you to donate a £1 a mile via the just giving site![/p][p]If you are unable to cycle then sponsor a friend or sponsor our Ride for Precious Lives![/p][p]Let’s start a chain reaction! Hurray for Pedal Power![/p][p][br][/p][p]Our Ride for Precious Lives Team![/p][p]Denise Searle, Sophie’s mum, returned to cycling after a 10 year break. Three children later she entered the Ride for Precious Lives! She has not looked back and looks forward to her weekly spin with Nat as it provides much needed respite from caring for Sophie[/p][p]Nick Searle, Sophie’s dad, completes the Ride for Precious Lives in 2018. He has continued to run and cycle and looks forward to trying to chase his wife up the hills this year![/p][p]Zero to Hero! Nat Fallow a novice cyclist last year has since clocked up nearly 2000 miles including the Eden Classic, Lands End 100 and the Ride for Precious Lives. Now an accomplished cyclist, with a speedy new bike and her feet clipped in!! Legend!![/p][p]This will be James first time cycling the Ride for Precious Lives. A keen sportsman and PE teacher in Newquay..: but will he keep up with his wife on the hills!![/p]
