My story

[p]30in30 is complete and as I enjoy a few days to reflect upon the events of the last month, I want to extend my thanks to each and every one of you for your support.[/p][p]Yes, I ran for 800-miles, completing at least a marathon of 26.2-miles every day and yes, that was a massive feat of achievement. But it is one that I could not have done without those around me. All the sponsors, my wonderful support crew, my family and friends and, of course, all of you who have donated or taken part in your own fund-raisers on my behalf.[/p][p]As my journey took me from Brighton and up the country, with our route changing to bring us back to finish in Hull, the support was unstinting and terrific – the messages too, kept me going and I would read them daily. The local BBC radio and TV stations were fantastic too, providing regular updates for listeners and viewers, with some great reporting at journey’s end.[/p][p]2020 has not been an easy year for anyone and for people to be so generous, especially in the current circumstances, has left me with feeling extremely grateful. The money raised means so much and will help everyone here at CatZero continue our work at a time when it is needed more than ever – supporting families and individuals across the Humber who need us the most.[/p][p]As many of you are aware, this is my ultimate and final personal challenge and ends seven years of annual fund-raising efforts, having completed marathons, cycle events (JOGLE unsupported), open water swims (Humber), an Ironman Triathlon and Ultramarathon (The Wall 69 miles), all with the intention to get ready for this 30in30. In that time many thousands of pounds has been raised and I am truly grateful to you all.[/p][p]Danny[/p]
