Wooden Spoon Everest Rugby Challenge

[p]OK, so here I go again, having been given the opportunity of a lifetime ... to climb to the top of the world, hopefully help set a new Guinness record, and raise money for Wooden Spoon children's charity. All sounds quite straight forward when you put it like that![/p][p]The Wooden Spoon Everest Rugby Challenge takes place over 24 days from 13 April to 6 May 2019. We fly to Kathmandu and then Lhasa before spending the next 6 days getting to Base Camp at 5200m. A further week will be spent on acclimatization walks as we progress to Advanced Base Camp at 6500m. Here we will be only one vertical mile below Everest's summit.[/p][p]We will then attempt to set 2 Guinness world records by playing the highest game of contact rugby and the highest game of mixed touch rugby ever recorded.[/p][p]Still sounding easy? Well then I looked at the team profiles.
