My story

[p]5:52 and Β£2600 and counting. Pictures are start, far end of Monsal Trail, the end of the Monsal Trail (21 miles) and back home. Plus the celebration cake that Isobel made for me. A huge thank you for all your support.[/p][p]Further Update. If we get to Β£2500 I will wear the hat in my profile picture to run in. And to those that were there, yes it is from Burns Night Bomoen 1998 - you might not have recognised me because I have my eyebrows - (Thanks Boggy)[/p][p]Update. To quote Captain Darling, "I wrote a note in my dairy today which simply said Bugger”. Thanks to all the amazing people who have been so generous it looks like I’m out running tomorrow. To those who have said they might come out this is the planned route with (very approximate) timings. Aiming to start early at 0630 before it gets too hot. From home in Chatsworth Rd to the A6, then across the river and up Church Lane before heading cross country to Calton Lees. Then over the top and into the top end of Bakewell to meet up with the Monsal Trail. Then Hassop station at 0745 and onto the end by 0915 to turn round. Back to Hassop 1045 and then all the way to the end of the Trail and left past Coomb Farm back to Rowsley. A quick loop along by the Derwent to the tip and back along the cycle track and home by 1215. Thanks again for your humbling generosity at a time when I know finances are tight for some people.πŸ€ͺπŸ˜±πŸƒ?β™‚?πŸƒ?β™‚?πŸ›ŒπŸ‘πŸ‘[/p][p]Ive wanted to do a marathon for ages so thought I’d set the challenge that if I get Β£1000 pledged for MIND Derbyshire by Friday then I will run a marathon distance to the far end of Monsal Trail and back. The positive power of mind over matter and the benefits of exercise for mental health week. The challenge is set[/p]
