My story

[p]Hello![/p][p]Although I have been a keen runner for a number of years, this will be my [span=text-decoration: underline;]first ever[/span] half marathon...scary stuff![/p][p]I've chosen to raise money for the [span=color: #0000ff;][b]Histiocytosis Research Trust [/b][/span]in memory of a very special little boy, [span=color: #ff0000;]Oliver Scholes[/span].[/p][p]Olly suffered with haemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) a rare condition.  In fact his family did not know anything about it until Olly became ill with a simple ear infection that would not clear up with several courses of antibiotics.[/p][p]Olly was your typical cheeky, happy 2 year old who was excited by all the new things he was learning in his life.  He was all set to become a big brother too. But in June 2012 he sadly died from the condition after his body could not fight anymore.  His baby brother was just 6 days old.[/p][p]The [span=color: #0000ff;][b]Hystiocytosis Research Trust [/b][/span]funds ground breaking research into the condition that took Olly from his family.  Since June 2012 friends and family of Oliver have made every effort to raise as much money as possible in his memory.  This is my contribution to their amazing fundraising, so anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated.[/p][p]If you would like to know more about Oliver and his family's fundraising please visit [url=http://www.10kforolly.co.uk]www.10kforolly.co.uk[/url][/p][p]Thanks[/p][p]David[/p][p]Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.[/p]
