My story

[p]Thank you for visiting my page.[/p][p]On the 26th of April, I will be taking part in my fourth marathon. After each one, I've always said "that was awful, never again, I'm done now!". [/p][p]But, somehow, due to my desire to continue to raise as much as possible for the fantastic PBC Foundation, I have managed to convince myself that it wasn't actually that bad. That the training was actually enjoyable. That running for hours upon hours was a great way to spend a Saturday or Sunday morning![/p][p]Training has now started and I've suddenly remembered, it has all come flooding back, just how hard this is! From now until the 26th of April 2020, I am going to be braving the cold, wind and the rain in my short shorts.[/p][p]It’s an honour to once again be taking part in the London marathon on behalf of the PBC Foundation. It is a charity very close to my family’s heart, the Foundation does fantastic support work, as well as funding research so that one day there will hopefully be a cure![/p][p]PBC is an autoimmune disease. This means your immune system mistakes tissue in the liver for a foreign invader and attacks it. It’s not currently known what causes this to happen.[/p][p]For more information please follow this link https://www.pbcfoundation.org.uk/[/p][p]The PBC Foundation have been a fantastic support and source of information to my family and me. As have the staff at the QE hospital Birmingham (an especially big thank you to clinical nurse specialist Jenny Hayden).[/p][p]If you are able to and would like to help me reach my goal of raising £1,000 for such an amazing cause, then I will be very grateful. I will also consider personal requests (Like Joe Warren asking me to grow a ponytail for a bit of extra cash, one day Joe), no promises but I will consider them.[/p][p]Any support on the day, cheering me on will also be hugely appreciated! I am going to need those cheers![/p][p]Thank you.[/p]
