[lt]p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"[gt][span=font-size: 7.5pt;]Thanks for visiting our [lt]span style="background-color: #ffffff;"[gt][lt]span style="color: #ff0000;"[gt]"Dirty Mother Mucker's[/span][lt]/span[gt]" page. Helen Taylor, Katie Thompson, Katie Nightingale, Amy-Jayne Westaway and Emma McNally have all declared themselves mad enough to take part in [url=http://www.ratracedirtyweekend.com/][span=color: blue;]http://www.ratracedirtyweekend.com/[/span][/url] [lt]/span[gt][/p][lt]p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"[gt][span=font-size: 7.5pt;] [/span][/p][lt]p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"[gt]The Ratrace consists of a 20 mile run with 200 obstacles thrown in![/p][p]We are participating in the event on behalf of the IA (Ileo Anal Support Group) and Red Lion Group. Both charities are support groups for people with ileostomies and internal pouches.  The primary aim being to assist people who’ve had their colon removed to return to a full and active life.[/p][p]Emma McNally was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis   12 years ago. Due to the severity of her condition, her colon was removed in an emergency operation. It took 2 years of 24 hour care provided by her family for Emma to get back on her feet at which point, Emma decided to have an internal pouch created.[/p][p]10 years later she has never looked back.[/p][p]Having a colostomy bag and internal pouch is a difficult transition to deal with. “I am extremely lucky to have a great support network in my family, friends and employer. However, not everyone is so fortunate. I now lead a virtually normal life only attending hospital for checkups and the odd tweak here and there. I am very fortunate not all pouchies are as lucky as I am."[/p][p]"This year is the 10 year Anniversary of living with my pouch, hence why I wanted to give something back. People don’t talk about these conditions due to the embarrassment involved. Raising awareness can make a huge difference to so many people’s lives…"[/p][p]Please, please sponsor us to endure this challenge. All the funds will be used to undertake vital research in relation to both procedures and also to provide support for those that are about to have their colon removed.[/p][p]On your own its a lonely road, with the support in place it doesn’t need to be.[/p][lt]p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"[gt][span=font-size: 7.5pt;][url=http://www.iasupport.org/about/aims]http://www.iasupport.org/about/aims[/url][/span][/p][lt]p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"[gt][span=font-size: 7.5pt;][url=http://www.redliongroup.org/j/index.php]http://www.redliongroup.org/j/index.php[/url][/span][/p][lt]p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"[gt][span=font-size: 7.5pt;] [/span][/p][lt]p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"[gt][span=font-size: 7.5pt;]Thank you for visiting our page.
