My story

[p]Hi, thanks for visiting my page. [/p][p]Liberty Children's Home is a UK charity that is committed to improving the lives of 45 Indian children, both boys and girls. The charity is the only financial support for a children's home in India of the same name. The Home provides them with a secure place to live and meets their nutritional, health and clothing needs. The younger children all attend the village schools and the older children continue you receive support to enable them to attend college and obtain qualifications.[/p][p]I completed the 2015 London Marathon, raising money for solar power for the Home and I have been fortunate to have obtained a ballot place in the 2017 event. This time I am running to raise funds to complete the building work in part of the Home. This will provide an after school study area with a clean tiled floor instead of the current rough concrete one. This will double up as a cool sleeping area during the hot summer months, when the temperatures can reach 50C.[/p][p]The UK charity does not have any administration costs, apart from currency transfer, and so all of the donations received from Virgin Money Giving will be used for the Home.[/p][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. [/p][p]I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p]
