Team story

[p]The Coronavirus and Social Distancing measures have impacted so many people in so many ways; changing the way we work, shop, educate and the way that we exercise. Tuesday club nights are on hold, junior and tri training sessions are postponed and races cancelled or rescheduled. This change to society has also hit our charities with some of their major fundraising opportunities no longer available. [/p][p]Exercise is good for physical and mental health however and so although our methods for achieving our regular exercise have changed our will to do exercise is still there. [/p][p]This fundraising page is for Dursley Running Club members to show that they can still stay active, can find ways to get exercise and show that we care for others who are more in need. We are joining in the 2.6 challenge; run 2.6 miles, do 26 press ups, cycle 26 miles, hold a plank for 2.6 minutes... whatever it might be. [/p][p]Share your 2.6 activities, donate what you can and help us support our club charity Maggies and NHS charities in this challenging time. Caroline. Standing on one leg for 2 minutes and 6 seconds with your eyes closed? What sort of voodoo magic is this? Well done.
