My story

[p]In 2016 I ran the Marathon des Sables, a 6-day ultra marathon across the Sahara. In 2020, I am heading back for a second time as part of the 10th anniversary of WWTW, a charity I am proud to have set up and worked for over the last ten years. The MdS, described as the 'hardest footrace of earth', covers over 250km in the 6 days. Each competitor carries all their own equipment and food for the duration of the week, sleeping in rudimentary 8-man tents. Each competitor receives only 9L of water per day. It is a precious commodity. I am raising money for both WWTW and The Village Charity, a new, small, dynamic charity which is using veteran volunteers to support its projects in Lesotho and the West Bank. Here we go again![/p][p]26 February (7.00 - 9.30pm) - The Big Desert Quiz Night. - St Columba's Church Hall, Pont Street, London. Quiz-master Nick Knowles from DIY SOS. Teams of 4, £250 a table. Please contact me for more information.[/p]
